O CORE: An ideal core for audio transformer require extremely low magnetic leakage, low noise and high efficiency
O core also known as O-core or OA-core.
O core is a tape wound core in electrical steel, with circular cross section, looks like a donut.
The key point of manufacturing an O core is material slitting, which is called curve slitting, material is slit into a continuous strip from small to big, and then from big to small in width.
After the cores are wound, they are put into vacuum furnace for stress relief annealing, so that the cores with the best electrical performance.
Standard core sizes from 10VA to 2000VA.
