STEP UP / DOWN VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER CONVERTERS

A voltage transformer is used to convert the electrical output of a power source to match the voltage of your device, that is, to convert 110 volt to 220/240 Volt OR convert 220/240 V to 110/120 Volt. A Step Up transformer is needed when you want to use a 220 volt foreign appliance in USA with 110v. A Step Down transformer is needed when you want to use a 110V appliance in a 220V Country.
