THIN GAUGE SILICON STEELS
Conventional silicon steels are 3% silicon which are produced to the thickness of 0.35mm, 0.30mm, 0.27mm, 0.23mm, 0.20mm and 0.18mm, which are widely used for electrical power transformers and electrical components, and they are operated at industrial frequencies.
However, thin gauge silicon steels have advantages for applications at higher frequencies, which keep eddy current losses to a minimum level.
APPLICATIONS
Transmart produces C-core, Toroidal Core, Block Core in 0.10mm and 0.05mm thickness thin gauge silicon steels. 0.10mm thickness cores commonly for frequencies below 1KHz, and 0.05mm thickness cores for higher frequencies. The main core applications are:
1.Power transformers / Instrument transformers / Reactors
3.Welding equipment / Medical equipment
