A toroidal power transformer is a type of electrical transformer that has a toroidal or doughnut-shaped core made of a ferromagnetic material such as iron. The primary and secondary windings are wrapped around the core in a circular fashion, with no air gaps between them.
The toroidal shape of the core provides several advantages over traditional transformer designs. First, it reduces the amount of magnetic flux leakage, resulting in a more efficient transfer of power between the primary and secondary windings. Second, the toroidal shape allows for a more compact and lightweight design compared to other transformer types. Additionally, the toroidal shape allows for better thermal dissipation, as heat can be more easily dissipated through the surface area of the core.
